I was 100% extatic to hear on friday that the well diggers had hit water! It is alot shallower then we though it would be - they have only dug 13 vrs. (vrs=varas. 1 vara is 33 inches, so 13 vrs is about equal to 11 meters....crazy nica measurements...) and we were expecting more then that. since we are paying per vara....we lucked out! They said they still have to dig down another 2 or 3 vrs so that the flow of water is clean, so this week it should be finished!

David decided to take a look, so they harnessed him up (and by harnessed him up I mean they tied the rope around his waist and legs) and he climbed down.
I was pretty nervous as he went down, but he made it...
Checking out the water at the bottom! At the moment it´s dirty because they are still digging, but after another meter and a half it should be nice and clean!
